Knitting Shop is delighted to host an
evening with Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, the
Yarn Harlot. Stephanie will give
a talk and will then be signing copies of her
new book, Things I Learned from Knitting.
This is a free event to take place at the Oak
Lawn Hilton Grand Ballroom, 9333 South Cicero
Avenue, Oak Lawn on Friday, June 20 at 7:00 p.m.
The doors will open at 6:15 p.m.
In order to get an accurate count, all
seats must be re-reserved by EMail to: yarnharlot@nanasknittingshop.com
or by calling the Shop at 708.229.0061.
Again, the limit is 2 reservations per
person.
Those who had confirmed reservations for the
first event will be given priority. If
you had confirmed reservations and would like
to re-reserve your seat(s), please EMail by Friday,
June 6. After that date, you will be
placed on the wait list and reservations will
be accepted in the order in which they are received
based on seat availability.
Anyone else who would like to attend, please
Email your request and we will do our best to
reserve your spot.
A confirmation EMail will be sent once a week
on Tuesdays, beginning Tuesday, May 20, until
the event. This EMail will contain your ticket(s).
You do not need your old ticket.
The ticket(s) at the bottom of the confirmation
EMail is the one to bring.
If you don't get your confirmation EMail
on the Tuesday after you made your reservation,
call the Shop. No confirmation EMail means we
didn't get your request.
Wait list requests will begin to be filled
on Tuesday, June 10.
The book is $10.95 and is available
at the Shop and will be available for sale at
the Hilton on the evening of the event.

Via Metra Southwest
Line from Union Station
The Shop is directly across the street from the
Oak Lawn Metra Station on 95th Street. The schedule
to and from Union Station can be found by clicking
here.
The Oak Lawn Hilton is 3/4 of a mile from the
Shop and the Metra train station which for many
of you may be an easy walk. If you need a ride
from the Oak Lawn train station to the Hilton,
come to the Shop and there will be someone going
to the Hilton who can give you a ride. It is recommended
however, that you take a cab back from the Hilton
to the Oak Lawn Metra station for your return
trip to Union Station.
McNamara
Cab Company can provide transportation from
the Oak Lawn Metra station and you should call
them at 708-499-5777 up to an
hour prior to your scheduled departure. Ride sharing
is recommended and they have vans that can accomodate
up to 6 passengers.
The last Metra train departs Oak Lawn
at 10:15 p.m.
